How it all began

From late diagnosis to building a coaching career

As a late diagnosed autistic female, I went through life feeling like I never really fitted in.

Coaching was one of the first things I put in place after diagnosis. Unlike therapy, it helped me to validate and make sense of my experience, It also empowered me and enabled me to take action and deal with all sorts of different challenges to do with sensory, communication and executive functioning, that didn't need to be so much of a problem any more. It also helped me take control over injustices I experienced and saw others experience. It helped me advocate for myself and for others.

Roll forward a few months and I had completed the ILM Level 7 coaching qualification and become an EMCC accredited coach. I received incredible feedback from my clients and supervisor. Coaching seemed to come so naturally to me. It drew on the experience, knowledge and skills I already had beautifully and segued seamlessly with my genuine interest in people.

As I built my portfolio and, through discussion with my coaching supervisor and coach, I also realised, I was capable of coaching not just neurodivergent people or just neurotypical people, but people.

So; I want to share my skills, use my passion and interests to help others.

I've already used coaching to overcome sensory challenges, overwhelm, executive functioning difficulties, career planning, personal development and leadership development for myself and others.
